We are pleased to announce that Professor Rao will be joining us as a keynote at the 12th World Congress on Engineering Asset Management (WCEAM 2017) and 13th International Conference on Vibration Engineering and Technology of Machinery (VETOMAC 2017). Professor Rao has held important academic positions in Coimbatore, Vijayawada, Kharagpur, Delhi, Sydney, Taiwan, Kassel, Lyon, Rochester, Montreal and Guildford; besides industrial positions in GMR Energy Ltd., Dynaspede Integrated Systems, Altair, and QuEST, Bangalore. He was Science Counselor Indian Embassy, Washington DC. He established The Vibration Institute of India and is the Chief Editor of Journal of Vibration Engineering and Technologies and organizes the VETOMAC conferences annually alternatively in Europe and China and the National Symposia of Rotor Dynamics. He is a Fellow and founder member of IFToMM and Chairman of the Technical Committee of Rotor Dynamics; contributed to several Scientific Bodies, guided 31 doctoral students; reviewed papers for scientific journals and provided technical support to several organizations around the world including ISRO, GTRE, Atomic Energy, Railways, BHEL, and Crompton Greaves in India. He has written 22 books and edited six, received over 30 awards and is listed in Tata McGraw Hill publication “100 Managers in Action” under the category “Technology Leadership and Systems Thinking”. He has conducted over 60 workshops around the world and gave invited lectures in 135 organizations and wrote over 440 scientific papers.
