By registering for the Congress, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below:

 

General

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. We receive payments from our accommodation suppliers for the provision of our booking service. All references to “we”, “our” and “us” are references to QUT Conferences.

Photography & Filming
Photographs and videos of you may be taken during your participation in the Congress. By participating in the Congress, you consent to the Queensland University of Technology, Asset institute and future World Congresses on Engineering Asset Management using these photographs/videos for promotional, news, multimedia, research or educational purposes.

If you do not consent to your image being used, you must advise the Conference Manager via email at wceam@qut.edu.au.


Payment Policy

Registration payments are required at the time of booking.

If you require other payment terms please contact us directly at wceam@qut.edu.au.

Note: Your registration is at risk of being cancelled until payment is confirmed. Payment for your accommodation must be received by 29 June 2017 or your accommodation will be cancelled.


Conference Registration Refund Policy

Registration cancellations will not be accepted unless made in writing to the Event Manager, by email wceam@qut.edu.au.

Registration cancellations received up until Friday 14th July 2017, will be refunded less 25% for administration fees (please note if you have not paid you will still be invoiced for this amount). No registration refunds will be made after this date. Full cancellation fees will also apply to non-paid accounts after this date.

As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person in your organisation, if advised in writing no later than 48 hours prior to the commencement of the Congress.


Accommodation Refund Policy

Accommodation cancellations will not be accepted unless made in writing to the Event Manager, by email wceam@qut.edu.au.

Amendments or cancellations will not be accepted after 29 June 2017. Payment for your accommodation must be received by 29 June 2017 or your accommodation will be cancelled.


Partner Program Policy

Partner Program tours are provided through Red Lanyard, a subsidiary of Mustang Promotions Pty Ltd. QUT is acting as a booking and collection agent only for the partner program. Tour locations may be subject to change due to conditions outside of our control. Tours may be cancelled if less than 15 tickets are purchased per tour by 5 July 2017. If the tour is cancelled, a full refund of the tour cost will be provided to you. By purchasing tickets for the partner program, you agree that your details and/or the details of your guest will be provided to Mustang Productions to facilitate the running of the tour/s. You may cancel your Partner Program tour ticket/s with full refund until 5 July 2017. No refunds will be available after this date unless minimum numbers are not reached.


Liability

Without affecting any of your statutory consumer rights that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited: a) we will not be liable for any losses, damages, liability, claims or expenses (howsoever caused, including negligence, and whether direct, indirect or consequential) arising from the use of or connected with our site or any products or services purchased on our site, and b) we make no warranty or representation as to the fitness or suitability of any product or service displayed on our site or any linked site. Where our liability cannot be excluded, to the extent permitted by law such liability is limited to the value of the booking made. We sell accommodation from inventory supplied by each accommodation provider and we do not over-sell that inventory (we cannot accept liability for unavailability of rooms caused by an accommodation provider over-selling its own inventory).


Privacy Policy

In order to fulfil its activities, QUT Conferences collect and hold personal information about delegates registering or expressing interest in our events. QUT Conferences is committed to protecting the privacy of this personal information, and ensuring that it is properly secured and managed in accordance with the requirements of the Queensland Government’s Information Privacy Act 2009.

• The requirements of the Information Privacy Act are detailed in QUT’s privacy obligations.
• The Privacy Officer conducts a number of privacy training sessions each year for staff members.
• The University has a mechanism for dealing with privacy complaints.
• QUT has developed privacy protocols for the management of particular privacy issues that arise in the University.

Your information will only be provided back to the Asset Institute and is not provided to any other third-party provider by QUT Conferences in relation to the event. In some occasions contact details are provided by the owner of the event for the purpose of marketing the next event. This data is held in trust by QUT Conferences, and is then returned to the owner at the conclusion of the event. Credit card details are never forwarded to any other party under any circumstance.

QUT Conferences does not use any of its databases to market any other product or service.
